Mon 25th     1st Duddon Scout Group Christmas Post. Stamps go on sale in local shops. Posting

Boxes are in Shops and Churches throughout the town.

Tickets for The Mayors Grand Christmas Raffle are on sale at Dalton Town Hall,

Station Road, £1 each (Fantastic Prizes to be won).

 

Tues 26th   Friends of Dowdales Christmas Hamper Bingo to be held in the School Hall at 7pm.

December

Sun 1st              Advent Worship, Dalton Community Church, Market Street at 9.30am.

Christmas Craft Market, Dalton Community Centre, 11am – pm.

Bible Society Advent Praise, Dalton Community Church at 3pm.

Storey Square Park Committee Santa’s Grotto, Golden Ball, Tudor Square

from 3-4.30pm (to raise money for the park)

Christmas Tree Festival opens in St. Mary’s Church, 2pm-6pm (see over for details)

Christmas Lights Switch On at 5pm (see over for details)

 

Tues 3rd           Newton School Christmas Fair, 3.15 – 5.30. There will be Christmas Craft Stalls, Children’s Activities, Raffle and Father Christmas will be attending.

Wed 4th           Guides and Scouts Carol Service, St. Mary’s Church at 6pm.

Fri 6th               Dalton Mayor’s Charity Christmas Concert, St. Mary’s Church at 7pm.

Festive Entertainment from Dowdales School Choir, Dalton Town Band and

The Flying Cascara Brothers. Tickets £5 (includes refreshments) available from

Dalton Town Hall, Station Road and on the Night.

Sun 8th           Advent Worship, Dalton Community Church, Market Street at 9.30am.

Messy Church, Dalton Community Church, Market Street at 3pm.

 

Wed 11th        Christmas at Dowdales Concert in the school hall. Doors will open at 6pm

With school stalls selling Christmas items. The Concert starts at 7pm.

Tickets available from School office from mid-November.

Thur 12th         Little and Caine Remembrance Service, St. Mary’s Church, 6pm

Stargazers, a Christmas Musical performed by Furness Churches United Choir. 7.30pm at Dalton Community Church, Wellington Street. Admission Free, Donations to Furness Homeless Support Group.

Sun 15th           Advent Worship, Dalton Community Church, Market Street at 9.30am.

 

Christingle Service, St. Mary’s Church at 6pm.

Tues 17th           Dowdales School (Year 7) Carol Service, St. Mary’s Church at 2pm.

Wed 18th          Grub and Games (Board Games and a Festive Soup and Sandwich Lunch)

Dalton Community Centre, Nelson Street, 11am-1pm.

  Thur 19th         George Romney School Carol Service, St. Mary’s Church at 2pm. 

                       

   Fri 20th             Last Posting Day for Scout Christmas Post.

                            Christmas Film Club at Dalton Community Centre, Nelson

Street with Festive Refreshments. Film starts at 2pm.

Sat 21st               Coffee and Carols, Dalton Community Church, Market Street at 9.45am,

Enjoy a cup of coffee in a festive atmosphere (admission free).

Sun 22nd           Nativity Service, Dalton Community Church, Market Street at 10.30am
